

Ms. Demetria Joyce Ausborne celebrated 55 years of life beginning November 29, 1959, in Dallas, Texas. She made her final journey home Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 1:08am. Demetria became a Christian at a young age. She was baptized by Rev Vergia Edgar of Seven Star Baptist Church. She loved studying the bible. Demetria lived in Dallas all her life. She attended Dallas Independent School District and was a graduate of W H Adamson High School. She went on to attain her Clinical Nursing Assistant License. She cared for patients throughout the Dallas area and ended her career at the Senior Care Health and Rehabilitation Center. She received numerous awards for excellent service during her tenure. Demetria loved people which was reflected in many ways but mainly through feeding them. Anyone that knew her knew she loved cooking and showing hospitality to her family and friends with a smile and those signature red lips. “Granny Dee Dee” had an array of grandchildren that she loved dearly and that love was reciprocated. She always wanted them around celebrating birthdays, holidays and going any place the “bus” would take them. Demetria is survived by her parents: James Lee Reed, Sr. and Annie Lee Reed; three daughters: Kameasha Reed, Barbara Chandler (Victor) and Vergia Ausborne; three granddaughters: LaToria Chandler, Quinice Reagor and Melody Chandler; five siblings: James Reed, Jr. (Vera), Wander Reed, Darrell Reed (Rhonda), Vincent Reed and Eddie Reed; seven nieces and nephews: Prell, Derrick, Sr., Antron, Dedra, Jasmine, Vanesha and Corey. Special family: sons: Derreon and Darius; daughters: NaTasha (Timothy) and Catherine; grandchildren: Daiya, Derriana, Cameron, Natalia, Liberty, Chanel and Travarus (TJ); sisters: Carol, Jennifer and Sophia as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
