Dennis Jean Bryan Thompson, 90, went to be with the Lord October 9, in Dallas, TX. She is the only child of the late Mr. Woodie Lowry Bryan and Mrs. Estelle Kerr Bryan. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne Thompson Sibley (Dallas) and Colleen Thompson Elliott (San Antonio). She is also survived by one granddaughter whom she loved and adored, Brooke Allison Sibley (Dallas). She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John Curtis Thompson and one son-in-law, Frank Elliott (San Antonio). Dennis was born on June 29th 1924 in Kaufman, TX. She attended North Texas State University in Denton, TX, and completed her education at Executive Secretarial School in Dallas. During World War II, she worked for North American Aviation. In 1948 while working at Comanche Corp, she met John Curtis Thompson whom she married in June of 1950. Over the years, she was involved in Bible Study Fellowship, PTA, a garden club, and a book club. After retiring from Sun Oil, she had time to devote to her hobbies, which included designing floral arrangements, ballroom dancing with her husband and making world-class pancakes for her granddaughter.
