She was raised in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1961. That same year, she married Jack Huffman, and together they settled in Richardson to raise their family.
Donna was devoted to her family, always putting others first and instilling strong values in her children. She also built a successful painting business and later dedicated many hours working in her daughter’s law office. In her later years, her greatest joy came from caring for her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Huffman her son, Jason Huffman, brothers-in law Joe and James E. Huffman. She is survived by her daughter Dana Huffman, sister Diana Zablosky, daughters-in-law Melanie Bullock and Tracey Huffman, grandchildren Jack Huffman and fiancé Emma Jennings, Caroline Huffman and husband Jackson Mize, sister-in-law Joyce Prock, nieces Leslie Norton and husband Andrew, and Angel Huffman, and many great-nieces and nephews.
A passionate animal lover, Donna supported several rescue organizations, including Loving Long Ears Donkey Sanctuary, Richardson Humane Society, and Take Me Home Pet Rescue. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to these organizations in her memory.
A visitation & reception for Donna will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A graveside will follow at 12:00 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park. The family will have a memorial service on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas 75080.
