Doris Westendorf, age 98, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2012 at Presbyterian Village North. She was born on February 9, 1914 in Sioux City, Iowa and moved at a young age to Seattle, Washington where she graduated from the University of Washington in 1936. She married Richard Hedreen in 1937 and moved to Denver, Colorado. She was an avid golfer, bridge player, and lover of life. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Gregg, son David Hedreen and wife Jeanne, and daughter-in-law Marilyn Hedreen. Also stepsons Chuck Westendorf and wife Ruth and Jay Westendorf. Grandchildren include: Deborah McAndrew and husband Will, Jeff Gregg and wife Lauran, David Gregg, Tommy Gregg and wife India, Kimberly McVeigh and husband Carrington, Rick Hedreen and wife Beth, Kristi Hedreen Null, Matt Westendorf and wife Melissa, and Michael Westendorf and wife Lauren. Also numerous great and great-great grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by Richard Hedreen, Charles Westendorf and her son Robert Hedreen. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Presbyterian Village North in the main auditorium.
