To the family of Dorothy Haynes, 
I want to share my deepest sympathy and condolences to you. Dorothy will truly be missed for all the care and love she gave to others. She was a wonderful woman and nurse. I got to see her caring side every morning that she checked on her good friend Colletta. She cared for our patients at Baylor and ensured that the staff and patients were safe. I hope you find comfort in knowing she was an awesome person. Much love 💕

Ms Dortohy always kept it real and kept things moving. She was always on the go with plans to travel and have herself a good ol time. She taught me what enjoying life really was about. She was so proud of Atiana and I for the achievements we received and cheered us on loud and strong. Forever in our hearts Ms Dortohy 💚💛

Met Mrs. Dorothy along with Mrs. Sheila and Mr. Jeffrey Place  many years ago they ran Baylor University Medical Center flawlessly.  She is one of the reasons several of us attended nursing school. Always encouraged others. If you had the pleasure to truly know her you knew her as "DOT". A funny, funny  and quick witted person who loved people,  loved life, and loved living it. She became a true sister friend who I could call or text about anything at anytime and vice versa. She can now rest along with her sister Connie, whom she expressed to me often missing. Praying for her soul to truly be at peace. Praying for the family peace of mind to know her work on this earth is done and she is needed in heaven 🙏🏽.

Ms Dorothy was the best.  We always felt supported and loved at nights. She will be missed. Prayers for all those who knew and loved her.

Dorothy Haynes, a devoted nurse of 43 years at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, leadership, and unwavering dedication to others. Dorothy’s career was more than a profession—it was a calling she fulfilled with grace, strength, and an open heart.

Dorothy began her nursing journey at El Centro College, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). She continued her education at Chamberlain University, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and later achieved her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Capella University. Her commitment to lifelong learning reflected her deep desire to grow, lead, and better serve those around her.

Throughout her remarkable career at Baylor, Dorothy was known as a trusted colleague, a fierce advocate for her patients, and a mentor to countless nurses whose lives she shaped and inspired. Her impact reached far beyond the walls of the hospital.

Dorothy was truly one of a kind. She loved fiercely, lived boldly, and laughed loudly. Her spirit filled every room she entered, and her kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her legacy of love, service, and strength will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.

Ms Dorothy was a beautiful, bright soul who brought laughter to everyone she met. My condolences to everyone that knew her. To know her was to love her. Her spirit will live on forever in the memories we all have of her.

Dorothy, you were one of a kind! You loved fiercely, lived boldly, and laughed loudly. I love you and already miss you so much. You taught me so much about life and being true to myself. Love you my sweet friend, fly high and watch over us.
