Theresa Evans. She was the loving baby of the family, simply known as “Dee”
Dee graduated with honors from Lincoln High School in 1987 where she was Captain of the “Purple Flash” drill team, she continued her career as a Black Fox at Prairie View A&M University where in 1987 she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
Dvorah found Christ early in life and spent her life being of service and showing his love by utilizing the talents God provided her. She had an impactful career at the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the M.P.I., a published author, orator, poet and columnist. Personally, she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend who found joy in feeding her loved one’s amazing food on holidays and giving sage advice and stimulating and loving conversation.
Dee gained her wings on Sunday, August 25, 2024, and followed shortly thereafter by her baby Fancy a week later. She was preceded in death by her mother Theresa Evans, her brother Larry Adams and stepfather J.C. Childs. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Brenda Adams, brother Ricky Evans and sister Charlotte Evans and sister in love Jacqueline King- Adams. Her nieces Aries Adams, Lakeisha Frazier, Tiffany King, Erica Evans and Monika Evans and nephew Andre Evans. A host of great grandnieces, grandnephews, family, friends and loved ones.
She will truly be missed by all and without her the world is a little less pretty, a little less kind and a little less welcoming.
A visitation for Dvorah will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 UNIVERSITY HILLS BLVD, DALLAS, TX 75241. A service of celebration will occur Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Community Baptist, 3210 Military Pkwy, Mesquite, TX 75149.
