Eddie L Reed

Eddie was born on October 2, 1932, in Altheimer, Arkansas, to Willie Reed and Blanche Mahon. He graduated from Little Rock Dunbar High School and moved to Plano, Texas in the 1970's. A devoted father and hardworking man, Eddie retired from the City of Frisco in 2013. He lived a full and blessed life, never wanting anything and taking pride in the family, he lovingly raised. His strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to his loved ones were the hallmarks of his life.

He is preceded in death by; his beloved mother, Blanche Mahon; father, Willie Reed; brother, Willie Reed Jr.; his wife, Martha Raye Reed and daughter, Ebby Lynn Reed.

Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his wife, Rose Reed, his children:

• Gregory Reed of Plano, Texas

• Nicholas Reed (Liz) of Midlothian, Texas

• Phillip Reed of Plano, Texas

• Penny Reed-Carmon (Kevin) of Cedar Hill, Texas

• Timothy Chancellor, stepson (Michelle) of Plano, Texas

• Mayo Johnson, stepson, of Little Rock, Arkansas

• Mona Hannible, stepdaughter, of Dallas, Texas

He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will forever mourn his loss and celebrate his life.

Eddie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
