Edna Vargas Pena, age 90, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Edna was born to Lorenzo and Maria Vargas on May 14, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, in the Little Mexico Barrio. She attended and graduated from Saint Ann's Catholic School.
Mrs. Pena was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frank Pena; her sisters Luisa Ybarra and Rosa Rodriguez; and brothers Agustine Vargas, John Vargas and Joe Vargas.
She is survived by sister, Irene Ayala; daughter, Patricia Sandoval; sons, Mark and Robert Pena; grandson, Gabriel F Sandoval and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation and Rosary service for Edna will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX ,75225. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021, at 10:00 AM, at the North Chapel at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX, 75220.
