

Eddie Tudor, 86, died September 5, 2011 in Dallas, TX after a lengthy illness. He was born June 4, 1925 in Dallas. Eddie was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended SMU. He joined the Army when he was 17 and served in World War II in the 42nd Battalion, Rainbow Division, as a medic. He was awarded numerous medals including the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, two Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Ribbon. He also served in Korea as a Staff Sergeant in the Marines. In 1949 he married his sweetheart, Patricia Michels. They had 5 children, Ed, Jr., Kathy, Julie, Robert and Patty. Eddie was a devoted husband and loving father. Eddie died just a month shy of his 62nd wedding anniversary. Eddie retired from American Hospital Supply after 35 years of service. His retirement was spent playing with his grandkids and working in his shop. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, and children and their families; Ed and Gloria Tudor and their children, Lisa, Michael, Erin and Mark; Julie and Reggie Yates and their daughter, Annie; Robert Tudor and his son, Dylan; Patty and Russell Smith and their sons, Ryan and Preston; great grandchild, Morgan Goodie. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Graveside services with military honor will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
