

Born in Athens, Texas on September 29, 1932 she is survived by her husband, Glenn Richard Rosson; son, Alex Mark Rosson; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Stroud Rosson; grandchildren, Kyli Renee Rosson; and Sean Mark Rosson as well as various nieces and nephews. Ms. Rosson was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Hart and Alvis Hart; son, Darrell R. Rosson; brother William Hart; and sister Bettye Padgett.
Growing up in Athens, Texas, Ms. Rosson and her family were very active members of the community. After attending Athens schools, she went on to Southern Methodist University for two years and then Texas Christian University where she received her degree in Education in 1954.
Moving back to Athens, Texas she worked as a school teacher before marrying Glenn Richard Rosson in 1956. The couple moved to Lubbock, Texas where Richard attended and graduated from Texas Tech University while Edwina worked as a school teacher.
The couple moved to Longview, Texas in 1959 where Richard worked for a division of US Industries, Inc. and they started their family with the birth of Darrell Rosson in 1960 followed by the birth of Alex Rosson in 1963.
Moving to Dallas, Texas in 1968 for a job transfer for Richard the family settled in the East Dallas area and Ms. Rosson continued to devote her life to the care and upkeep of her family and close friends, while attending and being an engaged member of Lakeside Baptist Church (now Lake Pointe at White Rock) for many decades. Ms. Rosson was also very active in many civic and sports activities for many years in the Dallas area.
Ms. Rosson will be greatly missed and always fondly remembered for the positive impact she had on every life that came into contact with her.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18 from 5-7pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home. The funeral service is to be held at Lakepointe Church - White Rock at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 19th with interment to follow at 3:30pm at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens, Texas.
