

Funny, feisty and a lover of life, Eleanor Marie Bonner of Dallas, died on January 22, 2011 at the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years and love of her life, George Robert Bonner. High school sweethearts, Ellen and Bob, were hard working and devoted parents of Nancy Lynn Foreman, Cathy Leigh Bonner, Lisa Gay Lennox, and Robert Kirk Bonner. She had nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons, Edward Daxton Lennox and Charlie Len Kirk.
Ellen Bonner was a world traveler for the last 40 years of her life. She visited many countries, saw great vistas and always took pleasure in dressing up in native costumes, shopping, and partying with the people on "The World" ship.
To her family and friends, Ellen had the most giving heart that will forever be her legacy. No one told a better story whether it was about growing up in Jacksonville Texas, being a Hollywood Western Union operator, working as one of the earliest computer keypunch operators, or playing in the band in the Tomato Bowl.
Visitation will be at Grove Hill Funeral Home, from 5-7 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011. Graveside services for the family will be at 11 am on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, TX Family and friends are asked to gather for a memorial service at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at First United Methodist Church of Heath, Texas (www.fumcheath.org) with the Reverend Scott Holcomb-McLain officiating.
She is survived by her children and spouses: Nancy and Gary Foreman, Cathy Bonner and Ken Wendler, Lisa and Edward Lennox, Kirk and Julie Bonner, and her grandchildren, and their spouses: Shannon and Marc Gowdy, Lauren Foreman, Jeremy and Elizabeth Lennox, Jennifer and Eric Kirk, Jared Lennox, Julie Lennox, Joel Lennox, Robert Bonner and Haley Bonner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts go to Eleanor's church where she had so many friends, First United Methodist Church of Heath, 140 Smirl Drive, Heath, Tx, 75032.
