

Elena Salinas Flores, 92, passed away January 22, 2021 in DeSoto, Texas. She was born June 11, 1928 in Georgetown, Texas to Isaias and Elisa Salas. Elena was raised in the farmlands of Rio Grande City, Texas.
She had one child and worked for Martin News Agency for more than twenty-five years. Martin News Agency was responsible for distributing magazine, books, and newspapers. In her spare time, Elena enjoyed reading the Bible, caring for her plants and sewing dresses for her nieces.
Her family will always remember her as a strong, brave, happy, and peaceful person. She was a faithful member of her church and loved to sing the song, "Alli Quiero Ir, Y Tu."
She is preceded in death by her father, Isaias Salas; mother, Elisa Salas; brothers, Ramon Salas, Reverend Raul Salas and his wife Sara Solis Salas; nephew, Raul Salas, Jr; niece, Elizabeth Batres; son, Eddie Flores, grandsons, Erik Flores, Isaias Flores; granddaughter, Natalia Flores along with many other loved ones and great-grandchildren.
