

Elizabeth (Liz) Del Bosque-- beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend—went to her eternal home on February 18, 2017. A native of Dallas, Elizabeth was born July 1, 1974, to Jose and Glafira Del Bosque.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Lorenzo Vega. Survivors include Christopher Erinn Martinez, her son; Joseph Andre Del Bosque, her brother; Cecilia Del Bosque, sister-in-law; Joseph Christian Del Bosque, nephew; Glafira Vega Elsin, mother; Edison Elsin, step-father; and Ramona Vega, grandmother.
She graduated from Dallas’ Skyline High School and worked in marketing for Neiman Marcus. She served as an executive assistant to the director of Uplift Williams Preparatory School and later at Kohl’s corporate office. She was a parishioner of St. Monica Catholic Church where she was a member of Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Faustina #2878, serving as financial secretary in 2015-2016. She was active in the ACTS Retreat Movement at St. Monica, serving as a retreating in 2011 and a team member in 2016.
She was a proud and devoted mother to her son Christopher and worked tirelessly to provide for him. Her proudest moments came when he graduated from high school and entered Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi.
At 42 this amazing woman left this earthly life way too early. She was a woman of deep faith, sustained by her love of Our Lord which gave her courage, peace and grace during her six-year battle with cancer. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. May her soul rest in peace!
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017, at St. Monica Church, 9933 Midway Road, Dallas, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with Rosary, followed by the funeral Mass and reception in the Family Life Center.
