March 17, 1928 - April 30, 2026
Elizabeth Claryce Drexler Gullatt (aka Sister), 98 years old, of Richardson Texas, passed away on April 30, 2026.
Elizabeth was born in Dallas Texas on March 17,1928, to David Elisha Tucker and Jennie Florence Moffitt. Elizabeth was married to Johnny G. Drexler on June 29, 1946; they were married 24 years until he passed in 1970.
Elizabeth re-married to Tommy C. Gullatt on November 22, 1974; they were married 35 years until he passed in 2009.
Elizabeth had 2 sisters and she was the middle girl, Katherine was the oldest, Nadine was the youngest but, they were always close to each other.
The girls had memories of living on a dairy farm for a period of time when they were children and remembered helping their daddy milk the cows, the farm was located in the area that is now know as Arlington, TX.
The family eventually moved into the city limits and at that time it wasn't uncommon for the family branches to live together; that meant parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins...a kind of Walton's Mountain without the mountain. The David Tucker family moved in with his sister, Irene Tucker and her family for a period of time; it was a small house, however, it seemed big when they were children and they had everything they needed.
Elizabeth worked for Sanger Harris, Skaggs, Catfish Cabin and Dallas Affairs Bakery. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, quilting and various crafts. She helped run a ceramic shop for a while which she loved making and painting ceramics.
The job she loved most was Dallas Affairs Bakery due to her love of making cakes & cookies. When the Dallas Stars won the Stanley Cup she got to help make the cake, deliver & set it up.
Elizabeth loved being around her family. She loved seeing her kids and grandkids. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church most of her life and loved her church family.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, husbands, & infant son John G. Drexler as well as son David C. Drexler.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Bill, daughter Linda; grandchildren John (Diana), Justin (Karissa) & Amber (Vernice); great grandchildren Clayton, Tasia, Colton, Cash, Elliott, Kelsey, Boden & Lillian; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
