The heart that loved so fiercely belonged to Eric Cardell Jordan, Sr., a soul who began his journey on a summer day, July 6, 1977, in Saginaw, Michigan, born to Clara Ervin and Herman Booker.
After planting his feet firmly in Texas soil, he proudly graduated from Henderson High School. His deep-seated faith guided him from his youth at Macedonia Church of God in Christ to his later spiritual home at The Potter's House in Dallas, TX.
Moving to Grand Prairie, TX, Eric embraced the open road, spending ten years as a dedicated commercial truck operator for various companies, including Roehl Transport, carrying cargo across the nation's highways. When he wasn't navigating the routes, he put his skilled hands to work as an electrician for another decade.
But no road was more important than the one leading him home. Eric was fundamentally a family man whose greatest joys included gatherings with loved ones, the quiet contemplation of fishing, and the electric energy of cheering on his Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks during nights out.
His light will forever shine brightly through those he cherished most. He is survived by the beautiful tapestry of his family: his legacy woven into the lives of his children, Eric Jordan II, and Moriah Jordan (both of Houston, Texas), Micah Jordan (Dallas, TX), and Ma'laija Jordan (Beaumont, TX).
His memory is kept alive by his devoted brothers, Andrew Jordan, Harold Jordan, Patrick Jordan (Jaynelle), Gary Jordan (Chandra), Richard Greene, and Herman Booker, Jr.; and sisters, Evelene Williams, Ann Williams-Roy, Clarissa Jordan, Carolyn Jordan-Campbell (Kerry), Angela Jordan, Flora Lofton (John), Sophia Booker, Diana Fielder, and Elida Greene; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friend.
Holding a special place in his memory is his forever love, Monique Jordan, who holds his heart.
Eric completed his earthly journey on November 9, 2025 and has now been called home to eternal rest, where he rejoins a loving company who preceded him in faith. Greeting him in glory are his cherished mother, Clara Jordan-Gardner; his father, Herman Booker, Sr.; and his bonus father, Willie "Bubba" Jordan. He is joyfully reunited with his brothers, Larry Jordan, Lonnel Jordan, Maurice Gardner, Donnell Jordan, Larry Greene, Matthew Greene, and Herman Booker III; and his sisters, Jonell Fields and Diana Mason. They await the great reunion promised to all believers.
A Life Lived Fully, Loved Deeply, and Rooted in Faith.
