

Ernestine Teresa Henry was born on September 30, 1939, in Rison, Arkansas to Ernest Bowie and Versie Middleton. Ernestine graduated from Lanwood High School on May 17. 1956. She attended cosmetology school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1956.
Ernestine Teresa Henry was married to John Marvin Henry on May 28, 1956. They were happily married for 61 years until John's death in January of 2018. To this union six children were born, one of which preceded them in death. Ernestine had a vast professional background starting as a hair model for Miss Zeno in Dallas in 1965. She went on to work for Texas Instruments as an Equipment Technician in 1968, and was featured in an article in The Dallas Morning News in February of 1970. Ernestine began working for the Dallas Independent School District as a Food Service Technician in 1991. Despite her professional careers, Ernestine's main job title remained loving wife and mother to a host of children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
Ernestine Henry was baptized in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1971 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ernestine was very passionate about her spiritual relationship with Jehovah. She dedicated her life as a faithful servant and remained one of Jehovah's Witnesses for the remainder of her life.
Ernestine had several hobbies that spanned from gardening to her love for antiques. She loved to make a big Sunday meal and top it off with "The World's Best Sweet Potato Pie". Ernestine considered her spiritual relationship with Jehovah and her family the most important and greatest of all her accomplishments.
