The times when my boys played for him were one of the best memories. They are memories that will never be forgotten. Big E opened doors for my son Cobe. My family was your family and your family was ours. Thank you so much BIG E for your genuine love and support. Pop and Mama Davis really did an amazing job with you. You will never ever be forgotten. Man I don’t know where to begin. Thank You for your love, your wisdom, your kindness. Thank You for letting me be a part of the Showtyme Family but more importantly your Family. 

I’m going to miss our Hooter’s Mondays,  and late night conversations and life talks. But your will forever be missed but never forgotten.

Big E was a cool guy. Did his business professionally for the greater good of the athletes. Definitely a good one. He loved God and loved the game of basketball, he was passionate about it. He loved and went hard for every player that was a part of the Showtyme family. My two young men are a living testament, and are who they are today because of him.  This lose really hurts.  May his soul RIP 🙏🏾. Family Over Everything 💙

Seth was probably 10 when we went to a tournament in DFW and saw the Dallas Showtyme team play. I believe it was 2008. Never thought some years later he would play for that club and then final year get to play for Big E. That final year, my son was determined to play for you, Coach! You coached him! You encouraged him! You yelled at him because he didn’t shoot enough:) He loved you and so did I. I chose the picture because you always looked over your team! You never sat down. You watched over them like they were your own. Your family always welcomed ours! You will be missed greatly! Well done Big E!

You were my brother from the start! I appreciate you checking on me and having my back for 20+ years. I could always call on you for advice and count on you for support. Your heart for others was your greatest quality! We miss you, but will NEVER forget the imprint you left on our lives. We love you E! There will never be another like you...a true gorilla! the first time I met Big E he said “ You know you a Gorilla right”. I didn’t quite get it until I showed up to a Showtyme practice from there on out it was family… will never forget the role he played on my decision to stay and go to north Texas… and lastly won’t forget him saying “Finish Him” on the fast break  #Gorillas4lyfe

Man!! Where do we begin!? You've meant so much to so many people. You were my big brother, best friend, mentor and counselor. Never told me what I wanted to hear but what I needed to hear. So many memories I wouldn't know where to begin. Most are very confidential and will be stored away. "Never interfere with family" is just one quote that comes to mind. And we witness that with our own eyes. You are truly missed by many Big Homie! Watch down on me. Continue to guide me. And I hope I make you proud. Love you always! Big E thank you for being a great mentor to not just my son Jordan Williams but to ALL the young men who came thru your program...I will always remember your big smile when I would walk in the gyms..even when my son no longer played for you it didnt matter Gorillas for life!!! You will be greatly missed and you left your mark on this world and blessed sooo many people during that time...may your beautiful soul rest in love and peace......

Big E the words to express what you meant to me are not in the dictionary.  You were always there for me whether it was basketball or life.  You were there for me when nobody else was thru my darkest n weakest times.  I'll forever be grateful to you for allowing this man from a lil country town in East TX to come aboard your Prestigious program and coach.  Thru you I was able to give many young men an opportunity they otherwise would have never had.  The last text you sent said "Family 4 Lyfe" and  until we meet again that quote will forever live with me!! SHOWTYME on 3 FAMILY on 6  F-O-E on 9!! 

You will be truly missed Eazy , but  I'm  glad that I was blessed to know you and bounce off ideals about life and basketball with a true brother. One of my fondest memories is the day a group of gentlemen met up to talk about a vision of helping young people become better visionaries and strengthen their lineage and on that day in  2005 Dallas Showtyme was est. And to the family keep the faith in God his mercy and grace will comfort us all day by day .....yayo

Big E!!! We just had plenty of laughs and fun 2wks ago in Las Vegas. Your grit, toughness, and passion for all people (especially your guys) will forever be a staple in our Summer Circle,  the Dallas Community, the State of Texas, The Nation, and The World!!!
That's how much of an impact you made in this game and in people's lives. You have guys playing everywhere. Gorillas!!!

Showtyme Tournaments from the beginning,  where do I start. That first tournament in Ennis when you had me running around trying to get change, driving from gym to gym collecting money, paying refs, etc.  But if I had to pick one memory is the year I was on vacation during tournament time, flight was delayed, I missed the tournament, you had an attitude that I was even on vacation. Well, you shouldn't have changed the tournament date. Rest assured I never booked a late June vacation.  You were such a big brother to my son, created a great coach and helped mold him into an amazing man.. I'll always love you for being what my son needed in his early coaching days.  Coach Carter's family will cherish you and so many memories, too many to put in this post but always in our hearts.

Picked up my phone yesterday to call you. Something happened  at work and I needed your wisdom. You never told me what I wanted to hear, but always what I needed to hear. Basketball was the venue for our friendship but was rarely the topic of discussion. There are so many memories that how the hell can I just name one?!!? God knew the plan and I’m so glad he made me go to Vegas to be on the bench with you one last time. I love you brother. I know my kids will miss ole Uncle E. Promise I got your back

Big E you made the world proud, The best to ever do it. So many memories come to mind, but the ones that stand out are the ones that were bigger than basketball. Like when you put FOE after every text message or the advice about life,  never being judgmental on anyone, willing to go the distance to help any kid fulfill the dream of playing basketball and getting college paid for. I’m hurt, but i know you in a better place!!!
