Esperanza Castillo, age 83, passed away on July 29, 2023 in Dallas, TX. She was born on July 17, 1940 in Aguas Calientes, Mexico to Petronilo Briano and Socorro Montoya. She had one brother and one sister.

Esperanza was raised in Rio Bravo, Mexico and was a long time resident in Carrollton TX.

She married Ruben Castillo Sr. and had 5 children.

In her spare time Esperanza enjoyed singing church hymns and cooking for her family. She enjoyed having all her family over for meals and she said that was when she was the happiest. She was a spiritual woman & was involved in many church activities including serving as president of the church women’s group and singing with the choir. She was a member of Iglesia Evangelica Cristiana Espiritual in Irving, TX. Her sense of humor up until the end never left her.

She is survived by her husband Ruben Castillo Sr., her children Ruben Castillo Jr and spouse Brenda, Juan Castillo and spouse Claudia, Maribel Castillo, Pablo Castillo and spouse Mitchelle.

She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
