Estelle "Pedie" Collins

Estelle, Pedie, Fefa Collins passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, at Autumn Leaves Assisted Living Center, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Collins Sr. and son, Harry Joseph Collins Jr. She is survived by her daughters Laura Collins, Carolyn Ancy, Kathleen Vaden (Doug), Mary Fresquez, and Kellie Stramel (Patrick), twelve grandchildren and four great- granddaughters.

She graduated from Grand Prairie High School, where she was a Gopher Cheerleader and was a graduate from St. Paul School of Nursing. She met her loving husband, Joe, while she was a nurse in the Emergency Room at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. Pedie was the best Mom in the world and a friend to all who knew her.

Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Autumn Leaves Assisted Living Center, for the great care she received there.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or North Texas SPCA, in her memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Estelle will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 1404 Old Gate Ln, Dallas, TX. Following the mass will be an Interment from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX.
