Evelyn Jeanette Ethridge

Jeanette worked at Buckner Baptist Benevolence- Adoption Department for many years. She was a member of Urban Park Baptist Church until it closed; she continued her following of Christ at Mimosa Lane Baptist Church. Jeanette loved watching sports, but particularly baseball and the Dallas Mavericks basketball team. She would attend the church softball games and if it was the least bit chilly, you could count on Jeanette to bring extra jackets and sweaters to make sure nobody was cold.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ethridge and parents, Harry Hester Morrison and Pearl Lillie Bass Morrison. Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Sandra Collins and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Cammie Collins and Caitlin Collins and fiancé, Toby Rockett and brother, Kenneth Morrison and wife, Carol.

A visitation for Evelyn will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will occur Monday, March 4, 2019 at 10:00am at Grove Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband.
