Her husband, Willard (Pat) Halverson predeceased her in 2009 as did her brothers, Everett Avery, Clifford Avery and Otis Avery. Evelyn is survived by a niece, Beth Rixie of Memphis, TN.
Evelyn worked for ExxonMobil for 30 years and was involved in volunteering for several community agencies. She and her husband lived in Wichita Falls for many years before moving to Dallas.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7611 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75225.
