Evelyn retired after over 30 years of service with Southwestern Bell, which later became AT&T.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. McKenzie, whom she married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1978; and her son, Charles D. McKenzie II.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Terri Threadgill and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Mandy Talley and husband Jared, Dawndi Harper and husband Daniel, Jory Threadgill and wife Jamie, Jerry Threadgill III and wife Brandie, Courtney Threadgill, and Chase Threadgill; Fourteen great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by Graveside Funeral Services at 1:00pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
