She enjoyed quilting and almost everyone in her family owns a quilt that was hand stitched by her. Her grandchildren and those that called her Nanny have fond memories of wax paper cups full of M&M’s, crayons & coloring books under her couch and decorating for Christmas. Her grandchildren also remember puzzles on her dining room table, big Saturday morning breakfasts that included homemade biscuits, and homemade sausage gravy & big chunks of cheddar cheese and perfectly diced fried potatoes and ice cold cans of soda. She also enjoyed the antics of her grandchildren and their large assortment of pets, whether it was cats and dogs or chickens & goats or a friendly rooster or Iguana. Her grand-DIL remembers 2pm chats while they stayed with her a short time. Nanny was always very particular about her daily routines.
