Frances Faye McCrary was born February 12, 1920 in Sulphur Bluff, TX to Mattie Pearl Davis and Dow Pete Bailey. Frances was all about her children and grandchildren. She was as protective as a momma bear and held them dear in her heart. She was generous to a fault. Christmas was always a huge event and so many gifts were under the tree a person would have no place to walk in the room. Her cooking abilities were well known and it really showed at family gatherings. She enjoyed planting flowers around her large yard and kept up with everything until she could not move around enough to care for it all. Some of the kids are accomplished gardeners and shared their love of planting things with her; always planting flowers for her in the yard so she could still enjoy seeing them bloom.Frances spent 20 years with the A&P Company, 8 years with Cleve-PAC, and about 10 years with Plastics Manufacturing, all with the accounts receivable departments as a bookkeeper. Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Scott, Sr. (1980), and grandson Daryl, (1988). Surviving children, Scott McCrary, Jr. and Ann Asberry; her loving grandchildren: Michael, Marc, Chris, Kelle, and Macie; her great-grandchildren, Skye and Seth; and a host of other relatives and friends especially her pet cat, Kitty. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Charlton Methodist Hospital of Dallas and Dallas SPCA in the name of Frances Faye McCrary.
