

Dave was born on July 28, 1943, in Queens, NY, to Harry and Francis Riley. He was married to his wife, Sue, for 60 years after meeting and wooing her at OBU in Oklahoma. Dave worked for Xerox as a technician for high-speed printers and retired after 32 years. He joined the Navy in 1967 as a H I M Radarman Second Class and served for several years in many worldly locations.
Dave was known as “Mr.Dave” to all who knew and loved him at Prestonwood Baptist Church. He loved working in the Kidz Ministry area. He gave guidance, pep talks, hugs, told jokes, and volunteered his time and carpentry skills to whoever needed them. He loved to help build items for Kidz Adventure Week and all other props needed for the church. Dave loved being in God's house as much as possible because that's where he felt most at home and where all his friends were.
Dave is survived by his wife, Sue; sister, Donna Sue Riley-Brollier and husband Howard; daughter Kim, husband Bob, and granddaughter Emma; son Kyle Riley, wife Heather, and grandchildren Charlee, Samuel, Liam, and Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Francis Riley, and two sisters, Karen Riley and LeeAnn Riley. Visitation will be Sunday, June 22, from 4 to 6 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, at 10 am at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas, TX.
