

Don was born in Dallas, Texas on November 27, 1952, to Earline Barton Smith and Thomas Jasper Anderson. Don graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1971. Don was married to Debbie Chambers on October 15, 1977, they were married 47 years.
Don worked in the Collision Repair Industry for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, attending their many sporting events and restoring classic cars. In his later years he enjoyed reconnecting with many of his childhood friends and rebuilding a 1954 Chevy 3100 Pickup. He always enjoyed breakfast with his friends that became family at The Goldmine Family Restaurant in Garland Texas. A special thank you to Mary Beth and the girls for always taking good care of him and making sure his eggs were cooked just right. His kids would like to personally thank his favorite nurse Carlos who took great care of him for 15 years while he was on kidney dialysis.
Don is preceded in death by his loving wife Debbie.
Don is survived by his daughter Jennifer Gordon and husband Junior, his son Gary “Bubba” Anderson and wife Kellie, grandchildren, Jacob Gunner Gordon, Brittney Dawn Gordon, Stevie Rose Gordon, Tripp Anderson and Ty Anderson, his sister Cindy Dearing, brothers Bill Anderson and Tom Anderson along with many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
His service will be held at the Chapel located at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd. Dallas, Texas, 75228 on June 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Tim Brewer officiating. Committal will immediately follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park with a procession of classic cars.
The family of Don Anderson wishes to thank his childhood friends who acted as his Angels on Earth in his last few days, Dennis Signs, Eddie Lennox, Tim Messimer, Carl Whitacre, Robert Cady, Carl Mosley, Brenda Crabb and Dana Lindsay.
