Gary Randolph Brown was born in Dallas on January 20th, 1953, to Dr. William F. and Nancy B. Brown and passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at age 66, after a long illness. A lifelong Dallas resident, Gary graduated from the Greenhill School in 1971 and from the University of North Texas in 1978, with a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree. After college, he sang with the Dallas Opera Chorus for 10 years and taught private voice and piano lessons until he retired.
Gary is survived by his lifelong companion, Nancy Ashmore, of Richardson, TX, sister, Sandra D. Brown, of Austin, TX, brother-in-law, Henry Antes, of Los Angeles, nephew, Aaron Antes, and great nephew Aiden Antes, of Orlando, FL, and longtime friend and employee, Luz Solorio, of Dallas.
Gary’s funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3rd, at 12:00 Noon, at Sparkman Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, in Dallas.
