Gayle Leslie Cartwright (Forte), Age 76, passed away on July 23rd, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 19th, 1945 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Joe and Mamie Forte. Leslie was also raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1963 and The University of Dallas in 1967.
She married William Gerald Turner in 1965 and the couple had two children. She was an Executive Secretary at Cullum Companies where she worked for more than 12 years.
In her spare time, Leslie enjoyed watching sports and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and Mavericks. She was especially fond of the Arkansas Razobacks- Wooo Pig Sooie! She loved the TV show Yellowstone.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother, a caring friend and avid sports fan.
She is preceded in death by, her father, Joe L.P. and her mother Mamie Forte.
Survived by: sons, Stephen Joseph Turner and William Scott Turner; grandson, Ryan Douglas Turner; granddaughter, Joan Elizabeth Turner; and two great grandchildren
