George grew up in Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. He attended UNT, where he was involved in many organizations including ROTC, Talons Fraternity and was also a cheerleader.
After graduating, he entered the Air Force, where he was a Captain, and then worked for Braniff Airlines. He then began working for 3M, where he spent the majority of his professional career, before retiring.
On December 16, 1966, George married the love of his life, Carol Frost, and they enjoyed a loving 53 year marriage until her passing in 2019.
George was the true definition of a gentleman. He was the most kind, honest, giving, hardworking and loving man. Everyone who met him loved him. He had a servant’s heart and would help anyone at any time with whatever they might need.
George loved his family and many friends, golf, football (especially his Dallas Cowboys) and lived life to its fullest.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Lee & Velia Ferrell, his older brother, Joe Ferrell, and younger brother, Ronnie Ferrell, and his beloved wife, Carol Ferrell. He is survived by his brother Denny Ferrell & his wife, Susan; his daughter, Jenny Gronet, her husband, Marc, and their children, Libby, Meg & Blake Hill; his daughter, Linda Larsen, and her children, Erik, Jim & his wife Frankie & their children, Lennon & Parker, Diana & her husband, Chris Hanchard & their daughter, Walker; his daughter, Jo Ann Hodges, her husband, Craig, and their children, Haley, Kaki & Case; and numerous other family members.
We miss him so much already, but know we will see him again…
