George Joseph Montgomery III passed away at 11:30pm, Wednesday, February 12, 2014. George was born in New Orleans, LA on December 9, 1926. George served in the US Army during WWII and was stationed in Japan for a time after the war ended. He married his wife Lydia in 1951. They moved to Dallas in 1953, and became members of the Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Dallas shortly thereafter. George is survived by his wife Lydia, children George IV, Eileen, Brian and his wife Kathy, Madeleine Marchesseault and her husband Wes, plus many grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Sunday, February 16, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00pm with a rosary to begin at 7:00pm, Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held, 10:30am, Monday, February 17, 2014, St. Pius X Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church or School.
