Georgia received her education in the Dallas Independent school district, attending Julia C. Frazier Elementary and graduated from Lincoln High School (Mighty Tigers) class of 1955. This was an exciting time for Georgia.
Later on in her life, she met and married the love of her life, Mr. Tally Washington in June ,1962. This was a new chapter in her life, and they were blessed with four amazing children. Georgia was dedicated to her family but had a desire and vision to work in retail. Her vision was approved by the grace of God as she worked in retail at Sears for several years. What a blessing. Her Christian life began at Ezell Chapel C.M.E. She later moved her membership to Metropolitan Baptist Church under the leadership of W.G. Atkins until her health began to fail. However, trust and faith in the God continued as God never fails.
Georgia was a devoted wife and mother one who always put the interests of her family first who saw to it that her children were given the best she could provide, in loving, care spiritual nourishment and material comforts. Heaven was good therefore she was always faithful to her church and always saw to it that the family groups attended.
