

Gertrude was born in Weir, Texas on November 15, 1930, to Angel and Francisca Morales. She married Domingo Camarillo in Brownsville, Texas on September 30, 1950.
Gertrude was a loving wife and mother to her six children. After her children were grown, she decided to open a bilingual secretarial service and became a notary public serving the community for 35 years. She was an active member of the Love Field Baptist Church and later became a member of the North Dallas Baptist Church in Farmers Branch when she moved there. She generously continued to serve her community by volunteering at the church’s outreach pantry sponsored by the North Texas Food Bank.
Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband, Domingo, her daughter Socorro Camarillo Parker, her son, Armando Camarillo, and daughter-in-law, Diane Soelter Camarillo.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Juanita, son Richard (Diane), son Ruben and daughter-in-law Jane, daughter Martha Elena, grandchildren Mario and his wife, Kelly, Arthur, Eric and Lylianna and husband, Anthony Gomez, Christine Marie Parker and husband James Creager and great grandson, Isaac Alexander Gomez along with her sister, Rosa Morales Cienfuegos and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm, November 18, 2024, at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Grace Chapel. A Christian service will be held at 11 am, November 19, 2024, with Pastor Vince Gonzales officiating. Committal will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery at 12N.
