Glenda Nell Colbert Patton, 89, born on August 1, 1927 in Electra, Texas. Affectionately known as "Gam" passed away at home on March 2, 2017. She graduated from Electra High School in 1945 and attended North Texas State College and Hardin College.
Glenda enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, playing cards and dancing. She and her husband, Bob, were lifetime members of the Diamond Jubileers Square Dance Club. Glenda was the office manager for Nabholtz Properties for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Evalyn and Hugh Carl Colbert and her sister Josephine Colbert Berry.
Glenda is survived husband of 66 years, Bobbie Joe Patton, and brother, Hugh (H. L.). Glenda is also survived by three children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her children are Diane Nabholtz (Dallas, TX), Elaine and her husband, Mike (Austin, TX), and John and his wife, Jan (Ennis, TX). Grandchildren include Liz Enge, Rick Moses, Cheryl Cook, Dave Sveen, Elizabeth Allen, Megan Trimble, and Sara Sveen.
The family wishes to thank her caretakers for their loving commitment to her care.
Services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on March 4, 2017 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Whitt Cemetery in Whitt Texas with burial to follow.
