Gloria Gomez Caudillo, “Lita,” 76, of Mesquite went to meet our Heavenly Father on August, 13, 2020. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Miguel and Maria Gomez on April 11, 1944, and lived in Dallas her entire life.
Lita was a devout Catholic throughout her life and enjoyed going to mass. It brought her comfort in her times of need. She had a magical green thumb and loved spending time in her garden making all things grow. She was a sweet, loving spirit that welcomed all into her home. Lita was happiest when surrounded by beloved family and friends. She meant so much to so many people and her absence will leave a hole in those hearts.
Lita is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Caudillo.
She is survived by her six children: Richard Benavides Jr., Miguel Benavides Sr., Margarita Davis and her husband Claude, Raphael Benavides and his wife Mary Ann, Amy Trager, and Martin Caudillo and his wife Renae. She is also survived by her sister Esther Najera, her beloved niece Mary Helen Zarate and her two daughters, 17 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren who all love her dearly.
Lita had a BIG heart and her love and legacy will live on. She wanted everyone to be together and get along. She was a beautiful soul. We will miss her.
