Gwynne was born in St. Paul, MN on June 4, 1928. As a baby, her father took a job in Dallas, TX, where she lived the rest of her life. She had one brother, Dale Prudhomme.

Gwynne and Ted Yetts, Jr. met when they were sophomores in high school. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1946. On Feb. 4, 1950, she and Ted were married at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dallas. Ted was called to active duty in October 1950 and in November 1950, Gwynne had their first child. She was a mother of eight children, Kathy, Sherry, Vickie, Steve, Mike, Patty, Richard and Chris. She also enjoyed 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a Catholic all of her life and was a member at St. Thomas Acquinas Catholic Church. She was a member of Our Lady’s Altar Society for years and did numerous volunteer activities with Alhambra. After raising their children, she and Ted enjoyed many trips and travels to all parts of the world.

She will be remembered fondly for the fun times while camping, going to the lake house at Garden Valley, TX and for hosting the most memorable Christmas Eve gatherings at her home. Her grandchildren remember having fun with her by cooking Christmas cookies, coloring pictures, getting help with homework and playing at the lake house.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Prudhomme and her brother, Dale Prudhomme.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in her memory to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.

Loved your Mom!! 50 years ago you and your family made this young home-sick California Catholic girl feel like I was part of the family (and your family was so similar to my own it was heart warming). I still feel part of the family! She is and will be missed! Love you all, Marilyn
