Alan was born in Dallas, TX on November 9, 1949, to Albert Booth Nicholson and Bobbie Jean Nicholson. He graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1968 and attended Navarro College. Alan was married to Sandra Sue Strother on November 9, 1979; they were married 46 years.
Alan worked as a Supervisor for Atmos Energy for 47 years. He loved the Dallas Cowboys. He coached kids in soccer, football and boxing for many years. He also liked to BBQ.
Alan is survived by his wife Sandra, Children – Greg Miller, Rhonda Miller, Blu and (Jennifer) Nicholson and Summer Rocha, 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, Sister Judy and (Steve) Beach, and other family and friends.
Graveside Committal Service will be held at 2:00 pm on December 29, 2025 at Grove Hill Memorial Park with Judy Beach officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Alan Nicholson’s memory may be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Mesquite.
