Born to Jacob Washington Jackson (J. W.) and Cora Eugenia Osborne Jackson in Terrell, Texas, July 5, 1924. She was one of eight children. She married Robert Thompson Ferguson and moved to Dallas in 1951.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, J. C. Jackson and Forrest Jackson and sisters, Hattie Mae Jackson, Genevieve Jackson, Nadine Jackson Self, and Lillian Jackson Bridges; husband Robert Thompson Ferguson.
She is survived by her sister Louise Brooks of Terrell, Texas, daughters Sarah Ann Ferguson and Linda Ferguson Badgett, son-in-law Morgan Lee Badgett, granddaughter Jaynie Nicole Badgett, all of Dallas and sister-in-law Eloise Ferguson of Whiteville, TN.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8 pm on Friday, January 13, 2012. Services will be 10am Saturday, January 14, at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel with internment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
