Helen May Goolsby, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Helen was born in Hartman, Colorado to James and Cecil Wells. She moved to Texas as soon as she could. She absolutely loved the state of Texas. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She was active member with her Sunday School Class. Helen was baptized for the first time at the age of 92. Helen loved to dance and play 42 in dominoes. She love to travel with the family and spending quality time with her family especially her cat, Bennie Girl. She worked for 33 years for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service until she retired.
Helen is preceded in death by both parents; James and Cecil Wells; brothers, Ervin Wells & Riley Wells; sister, Rosa Lee Marshall; sons, James Goolsby & Robert Goolsby; her ex-husband, Everett Goolsby. She is survived by brother, Jim Wells (Paula); devoted daughter, Patricia Dees (Malcolm); grandchildren, Gina Scott (Ronald), Robert Goolsby (Kimberly), Tonya Weaver (Charles), Amy Harmon, Jason Harmon (Kelly), Josh Harmon, Alisha Arnett; and host of great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
