Henry Horne was born November 30, 1924 in Milledgeville, GA and crossed into the realm of heaven on April 29, 2013 while in a local Dallas hospital. Lou is survived by his wife Wanda, of 64 years. Children, Terri Lovette and Scott Horne, grandchildren Julie Lovette Latchem, Meredith Lovette, Chandler and Allison Horne, great grandson Nathan Latchem, together with their extended families.
Lou served in World War II as a fighter pilot in the 57th fighter group. He attended SMU obtaining his degree in Civil Engineering and subsequently founded Horne Engineering in Dallas, which operated for more than 50 years. Lou left behind a legacy of commitment, responsibility, character, and integrity, endearing himself to his family as a husband and father. He lived his life pleasing to the Lord. His memory will live on with us all.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, May 3, 2013 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel, Dallas, TX with Rev. Michael Miller officiating.
