Henry Lee Hoskins was born August 28, 1942, in Big Sandy; Texas, to the Parentage of the late Henry Clay Hoskins, and the late Verble Lee Taylor.
He received his education at Fouke-Hawkins High School. After completing high school, he then married his High School sweet-heart, Delores Hall Hoskins in November of 1962. From this beautiful union, two (2) children were born.
He accepted Christ at an early age. And for many years he was a faithful member of the Church of Christ on Pemberton Hill Road, formerly known as Myrtle Street Church of Christ. He also served as the Sunday School Superintendent, Music Director, and Deacon.
He was Known at church for the songs he loved to sing. “The Last Mile of the Way”, “Precious Lord,” “Just A Closer Walk with Thee”, “God Has Smiled on Me”, and many more other hymns.
He worked at Sears & Roebucks and retired after 20 years of Service. And years later he was employed by The City of Dallas and retired after 16 Years of Service.
The Angel of Silence entered his room on August 31, 2024. He was preceded in death by his Loving wife, Delores Hoskins; Parents, Henry Clay Hoskins (Jesse Mae), Verble Lee Taylor (Tommy); and Brother, Danny Clay Hoskins.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Henry Hilton Hoskins (Mary) and Chloris Denise Lark (Ken); two brothers, Harold Hoskins (Mary) and Fred Hoskins; one stepbrother, Charlie Young (Karen); one sister, Mary Lockett (Timothy); two granddaughters, Annika Hoskins and Hiltasha Webb (Napolean); two grandsons, Kendrell Lark and Kendric Lark; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
