Herbert Hub Martin Woodard

Herbert Martin Woodard was born August 16, 1941 in the small little community of Butler, city of Fairfield, Freestone County, Texas to parentage of Edgar Dale Woodard, Sr. and Erma Lee Stewart Woodard. He was affectionately known to family and friends as “Hub”. He was the fourth child of thirteen, 9 boys and 4 girls.

Herbert was married to Sandra Jean Porth in 1986. Jobs he held during his lifetime were at the White Rock Car Bath, Varo Industries and Tomet Manufacturing. He loved boating, fishing, playing dominoes, gambling and time with family and friends.

Early on Thursday morning, September 18, 2014, Herbert heard and answered God’s call to glory while at his Dallas home. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodard, his brother Edgar Dale “Caveman” Woodard, Jr., nephews Floyd Lee Bostic, Carlos Buchanan, and Marvin Buchanan..

Those remaining to cherish his sweet memory is his wife, Sandra J. Woodard; sisters Louise Bryant, Erma Jean Richardson (Eddie), Gail Buchanan and Paula Andrews (Kenneth); brothers Bobby D. Woodard (Maxine), George Woodard (Sharron), Floyd Woodard (Noy), David Woodard (Betty), Jimmy Woodard (Michelle), Darrol Woodard (Mary) and Willie Woodard (Doris); sisters-in-law Marlyn Beaudo; brothers-in-law Floyd LaCoursiere (Carol) and Frank Porth (Cindy); numerous nephews and nieces, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and a plethora of family and friends.
