Cyril Herman Krause Jr. was born March 16, 1928 in Dallas, Texas to the late Cyril H. Krause Sr. and Sammie Candiotta Krause. He passed away September 29, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Herman attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, Woodrow Wilson High School and Crozier Tech. Herman served his country in the US Army as an M.P. Afterwards, he attended SMU School of Engineering, and went to work for his dad’s business Krause Electric. Herman met his bride at the age of 24 on a blind date. After starting his own business in 1975, he had the freedom to spend more time with his family, travel and pursue his many hobbies, including his love of cars and music. Herman possessed amazing talents in art working with paint, stained glass and whittling. He also had the remarkable ability to build anything and finish everything.
Herman was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Krause. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret; children, Bill Krause and wife Rose, Lynda Hartsell, Michael Krause and wife Kim, Sharon Atkins, Andrew Krause and wife Joni, and Robert Krause and wife Rachelle; grandchildren, Aaron Krause, Shannon Huber, Ryan Hartsell, Jason Hartsell, Jamie Payne, Steven Krause, Meagan Krause, Lauren Bourquin, Kathryn Howell, Camille Atkins, Amber Krause, Michael Krause, Amy Krause, Ashley Kull, and Haley Krause; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Angela Petrasic; numerous nieces and nephews; and his buddy Sam, his dog.
A Funeral Mass will be held 2:30 pm, Friday, October 5, 2012 at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Mausoleum, 3235 Lombardy Lane Dallas, TX 75220, Rev. Jonathan Austin, Celebrant. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
