Horace “Bob” Gibson, 98, passed away December 31, 2016. He was born on January 8, 1918 in Golden, Texas to William and Mary Gibson. While in WWII, Bob was an Army Medic, and was an instructor to other medics on the West Coast of the US. Bob was an avid Mavericks fan, enjoyed traveling and snow skiing even in to his eighties. He was preceded in death by wife, Doris and children, Shirley and George. Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Patsy, Bobby, Trudy, Billy, Bruce, Kelvin and John; stepchildren, Beverly and Danny; twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on January 4, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held on January 5, 2017 at 11:00am at Grove Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
