Margaret Bradley and Benjamin Edmondson, Sr. She peacefully transitioned to be with
the Lord and her loved ones on March 19, 2025.
Ida Mae gave her life to Christ at an early age and was raised in church with a father, as
a pastor, in a Baptist church throughout her childhood. She was an active member of
Full Gospel Holy Temple when possible. Ida received her education at James Madison
and El Centro in Dallas, Texas.
For many years, Ida worked as a Patient Care aide at Girling Home Health, assisting
patients until her health began to decline. She was a devoted and loving mother,
grandmother, and friend who always put others’ needs before her own.
A woman of incredible strength, warmth, and compassion, Ida was the heart of her
family. Her kindness and generosity were unmatched, and her home was always open
to those in need of comfort, laughter, and love. She was a guiding light, offering wisdom
and advice with a loving heart, and her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-
grandchildren was truly boundless.
Ida Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Benjamin Sr.;
grandmother, Ida; grandfather, Will; brother Benjamin Jr.; sister, Dorothy; nieces,
Lodestus and Brenda; nephews Carl and Rickey; grandnephew Ronald Jr.
