Irene Rose Rios Jacobs, 64, passed away on July 25, 2015 at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Irene was born September 1, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas to Jimmy Rios and Julia Vidal Escobedo. She moved to Dallas in 1981, where she met her husband of 32 years, Maurice “Jake” Jacobs. Irene worked as a Pharmacy Technician, both in San Antonio and in Dallas. She also worked with the elderly as a Home Health Aide. Irene was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Alex L. Escobedo. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jake, her sister, Christine Escobedo of Dallas, her dear pet, Peanuts, extended family in San Antonio, and numerous friends in the Dallas area. Irene will be remembered as a generous person who would not hesitate to help anyone in need, especially children, the elderly, and animals. She had many collectibles and enjoyed gardening. She loved to meet and talk to people wherever she went. Even though she is gone, she will live on in our hearts and minds forever. We will miss her and will treasure her memory always
