He was a graduate of Ford High School and entered the Air Force, stationed in Okinawa. After his service he went on to continue his education at Colorado School of Mines and The University of Tulsa. He received a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. Jack had a prosperous career at Forney Engineering as a Contract Engineer and finished at Gosfern in International Sales. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan D’Ambrosia. He leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Audrey Lamb. Jack has two daughters and their husbands, Tina Jo and Ed Butler; Jan and Greg Burkhart. He has four grandchildren, David and Christopher Butler; Jackson and Annie Burkhart; He has two step grandchildren, Elizabeth and Luke Wallace.
Jack loved to travel, had a passion for duck hunting and enjoyed carving wood decoys. A graveside service will be at 10 am on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be greatly appreciated by The National Kidney Foundation.
