Jack Lavern Varley

Jack was raised in Collinsville, TX and graduated from Collinsville High School in 1948. He was an Airman First Class and served for for years. He married Monica "Mona" Johnston in 1953 and the couple had five children. He was an aircraft mechanic at Dallas Airmotive aka Aviall where he worked for more than 35 years.

In his spare time Jack enjoyed camping, fishing, watching the Cowboys and Rangers play, and spending time with family. His family and friends will always remember him as a devoted family man and a very patient person.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mona Varley, daughter Kelly Varley, his parents Earl and Audrey Varley, sisters Ethel Walker, Annis Ford, Inez Houston, Maxine Ring and his brother Pat Varley.

Jack is survived by son Brendan Varley, daughters Monica (Varley) Travis and Stephen Travis, Darlene Varley, Khristi (Varley) Bonhard and Ryan Bonhard and Kayla Varley. Grandchildren Phillip Travis, Jack Travis, Molly Berry, Bailey Bonhard and Madison Bonhard, great granddaughter Ila Jane Berry, niece Kathy (Varley) Carlson and Joe Carlson and their children.

A visitation for Jack will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. An interment will occur Friday, November 24, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
