James Earl Jackson Sr.

At an early age, he was under the leadership of Rev. Vernell Stephenson and Missionary Lillie Stephenson of Land Mark COGIC. He became a member of The Bible Says Posses the Land Church under the leadership of Pastor Lois Singleton. He loved to attend Bible Study where he enjoyed learning more about God's Word.

James loved life, family and friends. He lived for family gatherings and great fellowship. He was kind, generous and would help anyone that had a need. Nothing was too good to give to anyone.

James leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving father - Calvin M. Jackson; his wife- Evelyn J. Jackson; 9 children - Torreance R. Rowl (Jamie), Armeila Jackson, James Earl Jackson, Jr., Christina L. Washington (Derrick), Promise D. Jackson (Jessica), Trena Price-Boston, Rodney Arredondo, Arnisha Jackson, Sheniqua Jackson; 2 brothers - Paul Arthur Jackson and Kevin Jackson; 2 sisters - Pastor Lois Singleton (Alphonso) and Glenda Collins; Uncle Joe and Aunt Ella Ruth Turner; Charlie and Aunt Lois Gulley and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Armelia (Joiner) Jackson, and his grandson Jacobe Jackson.
