Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, father and son. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life for almost sixty years Dorothy Kitchens; and his daughter Paula Banno; granddaughters Tammy and Kelley Banno; grandsons Cody Freeman and Charlie Banno and their wives Tanya and Michelle; great grandchildren Addison, Jayden, Camaron and Collin; and nephews Alan Poole, Mark Kitchens, Michael Kitchens and his wife Kristen. James Kitchens, known as "Jimmy", passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011. Jimmy was born in Detroit, TX. on June 2, 1922. He was a bar and restaurant owner in the East Dallas area for almost 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, slot machines and playing cards with his family and friends. Services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest at 12 pm on Saturday, June 18th, 2011.
