It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Murray, a man of strength and intelligence. Jim was born on July 24, 1947 and transitioned out of this life on February 4, 2026. Through his journey of 78 years, he touched many lives with his wisdom, leadership, humor, and an unwavering spirit of perseverance.
Jim had a passion for discovering new things and the unswerving pursuit of truth. He earnestly imparted his knowledge to those around him. Jim was an entrepreneur who liked to start and develop companies to provide valuable services and jobs for talented people. He loved children and volunteered as a youth coach in soccer, basketball, and football. His passion was playing golf. He enjoyed the competition and won numerous amateur and club championships.
His last 20 years were challenging with health issues. With the help of wonderful medical professionals at UTSW and a generous friend and kidney donor, Bob Minteer, Jim was able to continue a full life highlighted with golf, grandchildren, and trips.
